Quality Performance Management System

Cherne Contracting’s project execution model is based on accountability and continuous improvement at both individual and collective levels. This requires that all resources expended be accounted for and resultant accomplishments be quantified. In order to establish an accurate history of project performance, all resources expended performing added scope and rework activities must also be tracked and accounted for. We use our Quality Performance Management System (QPMS) as the primary tool to accomplish this.

In simplest terms, QPMS is an accounting system that captures craft hours expended on activities not included in the project’s control estimate. The craft hours expended during the performance of these activities are categorized by root cause, discipline and any other project breakdown that may be useful for analysis, i.e. unit, construction area, etc. This database, developed in real time with project execution, is routinely analyzed for trends and corresponding corrective measures are established.
